What current guild are you in and why have you decided to leave?
  • currently guildless , had a break from the game for a short while. previous guild was ominous on the server saurfang (alliance) and they were previously on dath as nexus but we xferred off with a small grp of core raiders to rebuild with hard modes and end content in mind.
What are your two main professions and why have you chosen these?
  • jewelcrafting and mining , jc's get great bonusses on jc only gems and its a great way to get some easy coin!
Current Talent Distribution, why have you chosen to spec this way? What would be your secondary raid spec and why?
  • main spec talent dist is 15 ele 56 enh , pts are distributed this way to maximise dps while still maintaining high melee grp buffs . secondary spec is currently elemental but when i return to raiding it will once again be resto
What do you see your role in a raid as being?
  • main role in raids is dps while providing melee grp buffs , with the ability to spot heal if needed.
Previous Raiding Experience on the character you are applying with. If you have re-rolled and/or have notable previous experience on another toon please specify.
  • I started raiding late into BC , had several kara clears , mags/gruuls , very little experience in ssc , TK , had a few runs in MH. all current normal wotlk cleared with the exception of algalon, few hard modes including 25 FL 4 towers , XT 25 , Speed kill on ignis 25 , several attempts on IC and was so close! but never downed. Had many tries on 25 H beasts but the dc issue in this fight left us too far behind on dps - still saw phase 3 few times. 10 man toc have done hard modes on beasts , jaraxus , and several attempts on twins.
Do you have any WWS reports available to show? What theory crafting resources do you use?
  • elitist jerks is would be the main source for info ive used , forums or good ol google is always good.
What add-on modules do you consider essential for your raid role and why?
  • DBM - with visual and audio warnings to keep outta the red stuff!! its a must have , omen - to ensure the thing you are hittin wont turn and hit you! lol. recount - keep track of dmg , dps , heals , fails etc and shock and awe - enhance shaman addon that keeps track of shields , shocks , cool downs - everything enhance needs . thats all the main addons i use for raiding with the exception of healbot when i switch specs.
We want to make sure you're available for 75%+ raids. What internet connection do you use and how stable is it? If you share your internet with others, are you likely to cap? How stable is your computer?
  • cable net connection , cant remember the last time i dc'd in a raid or instance , however i do get lag in dal (like 95% of ppl im guessing) and do seem do dc sometimes while flying around northrend which usually end in a reboot. im the only person using this computer and net connection and have never capped.
Do you have Ventrilo and a working mic?
  • yep , got both in working order
Days and times typically available (please include time zone)
  • im unavailable on wednesdays and every second friday. all other days i can be on and raid ready by 7pm be it core raid nights or an organised off night. any other nights i may be unavailable would always be known by gm or guild officers in advance via ingame mail/msg ,forums or sms.
We'd like to know the person behind the keyboard, do you work or study? What are some of your background interests and hobbies?
  • im a self employed plumber , love spending time with my 5 yr old son -(the reason im unavailable wed and some fri) , enjoy riding bikes when time permits and playing wow. the feeling of seeing a boss drop after many nights/hours , cans of red bull/coffee and wipes is awesome for all involved.some nights might be stressful and feel like youre gettin no where but as soon as he hits the deck its all worth it!

haha, I guess you've read a couple of the previous apps we've gotten

Looks like a pretty decent app to me, but I'm no shaman expert, so I won't make any suggestions or judgements.

hey champ, only commenting on you resto spec, your glyphs need some work. The general make up is a ES, LHW and CH this enables you to effectivley switch between raid and main tank healing. Your spec however being 0/16/55 is not the standard talent distrubution if you have a look at antinuos or myslefs spec you will see the difference. Anyways i understand resto is an offsepc so dont want to bash it too much haha good luck with your app champ!

Hey Shokta

We currently run with a talented and reliable enhance and would only consider an experienced resto at this time.

Good luck with your search
